What’s Your Game Plan?
Building a brand or business isn’t easy. If it was, everyone would do it and be successful at doing so. The key is having a tenacious mindset and a proper game plan.
∙ What type of brand are you building? (personal brand, business, product, service, etc.)
∙ What industry or niche are you in?
∙ Where are you starting from? (completely new, or do you have some existing presence?)
∙ Who is your target audience?
That said, here’s a solid foundational game plan that works across most contexts:
Foundation First
Start by clarifying your brand identity: what you stand for, what makes you different, and who you’re serving. Your messaging should be consistent and authentic.
Choose Your Channels Strategically
Rather than being everywhere, focus on 1-2 platforms where your audience actually hangs out. Go deep rather than spread thin.
Create Valuable Content Consistently
Share knowledge, insights, or entertainment that genuinely helps your audience. Consistency matters more than perfection, especially early on.
Engage and Build Relationships
Respond to comments, engage with others in your space, and build genuine connections. Brands grow through relationships, not just broadcasts.
Deliver on Your Promises
Your reputation is built through consistently meeting or exceeding expectations. Every interaction is a brand touchpoint.
Measure and Adjust
Pay attention to what resonates, then double down on what works while cutting what doesn’t.
